Year 7 Transition Pathway
A programme built specifically for Year 7 pupils. At its centre is the Year 7 Discovery Campaign — one campaign, one team, one mission — where pupils discover how subjects connect to interests, careers, clubs, competitions and opportunities, then build a campaign to show the next Year 7 cohort what they could do at the school.

Teams work towards the campaign by considering:
- What should new pupils discover?
- What careers should they hear about?
- What club should they find?
- What opportunity could they work towards?
- What should every new Year 7 pupil remember?
Four Subject Corners
Discovering subjects, interests and careers
Pupils rotate through four subject corners, connecting each subject to real and sometimes unusual careers.
Maths & Computing
Careers explored include Game Economist and AI Engineer.
Science
Careers explored include Criminal Profiler.
Art, Music & Drama
Careers explored include Animation Director.
Humanities & English
Careers explored include Space Lawyer.
Debate & Discussion
The 500-hour challenge
Pupils debate what makes someone spend 500 hours getting better at something, connecting effort and practice to the careers, clubs and competitions they've discovered.
Building the Campaign
Team decision-making, presentation and voting
Teams decide what to include in their campaign for future Year 7 pupils, then present their ideas. The whole year group votes on the strongest campaign elements.
